2016 edition

Exploits on the island of Groix

Back in Brittany for this 24th edition, which had for destination the island of Groix, from 10 to 12 June 2016.

It was from the Cité de la Voile “Éric Tabarly” in Lorient that the 150 participants got to know their skippers and took possession of their sailboats.

16 crews thus set sail under the colours of Climalife and its partners: Assurfroid, Eurovent Certita, Génie climatique magazine, Honeywell, ITE, Kelvion, Mobil SHC, La Rpf, Snefcca.

More European than ever, the competition brought together different nationalities. Many countries were represented: Germany, England, Belgium, Holland, Hungary, Italy and a crew with representatives from Russia, Ukraine, the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan… This diversity of origins was even apparent in the aperitif shared on Friday evening around specialities brought by all the sailors.

Under a very generous sun, the sea wolves competed in new events on the very beautiful beach of the “Grands Sables”. Sack and Optimist races, acrobatics and singing contests were the highlighted the Saturday afternoon, which ended, still in a convivial atmosphere, with the Climalife evening.
